** You know offering up my sufferings had always just taken a physical dimension with me but recently I’ve made a greater attempt to offer up those slightings I receive that hurt. I am not good at it all of the time, but before that had never occurred to me. But I guess I have connected with that part of suffering in general as something I can offer up in conjunction with Christ’s sufferings. It was just easier for me to offer up my physical hurt, mainly b/c I didn’t want it!! LOL So take it here!! But the other stuff I would let fester. I’m beginning to understand that every part of us that is hurting can be united with Christ’s sufferings for co-redemptive purposes. **

Dear all,
I now realize that Adoration, combined with other improvements to my spiritual life, have given me the strength to get through these last few months. I know already from past experiences that the kind of stressful and physically demanding trials I’ve had to endure lately, would likely have led to quite a bit of self-pity and other sinful behaviours. Not so this time! I think that God really imparted His strength and perserverance in a covert way, during my time with Him. I’ve been able to offer my stress and physical pains for His uses.

The reality of prayer and His desires for me are also more concrete to me now as well. This thread is just what the Doctor ordered for me. This Lent has also been a landmark Lent for me as well. I’ve done things this Lent that I’ve never been able to before. And Easter is almost here! I was thinking last nite that I should check the schedule this week for Adoration. I can’t thank you all enough for this excursion to the past few months.

Agian, thanks!

Jeanne, I know myself and I think some others mentioned that when we were at a Catholic school we spent recess in conversation with our Lord, even if the Blessed Sacrament was not exposed but inside the tabernacle.

If He is calling to your soul, then ask someone at the school. I know at my Catholic high school we had a modular system (sort of like college) and that allowed time in 20 min blocks often for study, maybe you can ask… never hurts to ask. They may be willing to grant you time for useful pursuit.

Also take note of the link I posted above as a source for adoration, you obviously have some access to a computer so that is a good way to spend some time with Jesus as well. Cultivate what you can given your limitations…He is calling you too.

My heart aches for our Lord and Savior who gave himself for us and yet not 100% believe in the body and blood of our Divine Lord. I was just at a packed mass and I just ponder that in awe as to how to get through, so I offer my communion for them, those who do not believe in His Holy and Real Presence.

Here is the Fatima prayer given to the three shephard children by the Angel of Peace. “My God, I believe, I adore, I hope and I love Thee. I ask Thee forgiveness for those who do not believe, do not adore, do not hope, and do not love Thee.”
I talked to my principal, and she said I could feel free to go in whenever I like. 🙂

How nice it is, to read all the way to the end of a topic without finding an argument. And, I need to say, how wonderful it is do participate in Eucharistic Adoration. I do the first hour on every Wednesday, and although sometimes I wonder around ten o’clock at night how I’m ever going to stay awake once midnight arrives, I’m always wide awake when the hour comes.
And I always seem to have a big, dumb grin 😃 on my face when I first meet Our Lord in the chapel. I can’t help it.
What a Gift He is to us.
Have a blessed Easter, everyone!

I always tend to forget what Adoration means.

I usually think going in ‘this is a time for me to let all my problems out and everything’

Thats just a big poison for me, to ask for his assistance rather than love him as he loves me in that moment of union in spirit, where ‘God’s thirst meets our own’ (-John paul II), we are made perfect in prayer and in his presence there is a more fulfilling experience.

I walked by the college football star Tim Tebow yesterday (i go to school at florida), and I saw people come up with footballs and get him to sign it, people were so excited to see him, Tim tebow, upclose and personal. That got me thinking about adoration, we adore Tim Tebow at UF, we are in awe when we see him, and besides the fact that its completely idolistic and putting our trust and hope in man rather than God, which he tries to point to God, praise God for that! I think it is an important reflection for me to realize that when I go to adoration, when I visualize God in any form (spiritual or fleshy), He is AWESOME, he has done greater things and continues to than any football player, or moses, or anyone. And he MADE us, wow!

He is so good to us.

Does anyone know what has happened to www.savior.org? :confused:From what I can see, the webcam has been down since the Tuesday of Holy Week. I really miss being able to have the opportunity to visit and have a live feed of the Eucharist. 😦

**Wow, it says “Camera Temp Down”. Oh no, I am sorry to learn this as well, only surprised it hasn’t hap’d more often. I’m sure the enemy is involved somehow, but it will be restored have confidence.

Moreover, I am excited to find another fan of that medium…isn’t that so cool. Tell me how long have you been aware of this opportunity? And you might explain to our other thread viewers, any feelings you went through or adaptations you found yourself dealing with…pls share!

I know how much this has meant to me, so I know others might be eager to also know how someone else has experienced this online font of grace…**

wgholland: I’m sorry it’s taken me so long to respond, but I have good news - I checked this morning and Savior.org is back up and running. I’m so happy about this. Since I’m studying for my Ph.D. full-time, have a baby boy less than 8 months old and no family nearby to help with child care, sometimes it’s hard for me to get to a church for daily Mass or adoration, which are two things I used to enjoy doing so much before I got married and had a baby! Savior.org is a Godsend since it allows me to fit my prayer in when the baby is sleeping (on my more disciplined days).
Even before I got married, though, I would use the site for helping me focus my prayer time. I am very easily distracted and having the Blessed Sacrament on my screen helps center me. I even use it while I’m doing research or writing, so that I’m less tempted to waste my time doing other things - although I seem to resist grace very easily on that account, unfortunately!
I am also happy to discover another fan. I was happy to read this thread and all the blessings individuals have experienced in adoration. I have been rather lax about my prayer life for the past, oh, let’s see, eight months. I did have some medical difficulties, but it’s also a lack of discipline on my part. Reading this thread reminds me of how much I miss Him and how anxious I am to get my prayer life back on track. Speaking of which… 😉

Thank you all and bless you!

Well I am so glad to know how beneficial it has been for you!!! That is what I would do as well, steal the naptime to pray before our Lord. Beautiful update thank you!!

I am curious with so many common threads between many adorers, what is everyone praying for mostly right now?

I’ll start by saying that for over 2 months now, I’ve been pressed into praying for those who denegrate the Eucharist and for those not in communion with the Church. This is not to betray my time with the Lord but to share and encourage others who may be feeling similarly yet not knowing what to do abt that. These matters weighed so heavily on my heart before I could even bring them to my spiritual advisor to discuss, I just couldn’t put it all together.

I’ve been offering some communions for those not in communion (I’ve discerned that is for Catholics who do not believe) and prayers during intercession at mass for the other group.

Hopefully more busy moms can take a naptime moment with Savior.org - it can have so many benefits for us. Have courage and continue in hope!!

My wife and I are building a home chapel. Is there any way to have the Blessed Sacrament in our home chapel? We are in a very rural community with one Catholic Church. Our priest is leaving and we are unsure if we will have the ability to access the Blessed Sacrament in the future. My hope is that there is a special dispensation that would allow this for certain circumstances.
