If you mean the standard “observation changes things, observation is mental, so mind has power of reality” sort of thing, then no not really. Observation does change things, but observation doesn’t have to be done by a person - anything which accesses data counts.
Think of it like this: we learn about reality by poking it with sticks - there is no passive observation. Even shining a light on something so you can see it is bombarding it with photons, and while that might not make much difference for large things, on the subatomic scale even a single photon can change the state of a particle. When you poke something with a stick, it moves a little bit.
And the poking it with a stick doesn’t have to be done by a human. It doesn’t matter if I pick up the stick and poke it, or if the wind just happens to blow the stick into it, it is still poked. That is, should the conditions of the experiment be replicated in nature with no one watching, the same stuff will occur.
To be clear: I’m not a physicist, I double majored in math and physics as an undergrad and then went the math route. But while things are generally complicated in the quantum world, this is how I understand things (and of course, it’s been years, so I could be wrong. Open to correction).
