Question about a sin I confessed

Hello everyone

Last week I went to confessed that I had used contraceptives in the past. However, I failed to mention that I convinced my partner at the time to use the emergency contraceptive Plan B. (This was about 6 years ago when I was in highschool, if any of that matters)

This past week we were leaning about contraceptives in my human sexuality course and I realized that I may have been guilty of abortion.

Since I confessed that I had used contraceptives in the past, does this fall under it or is it a separate sin? Can I confess this mistake the next time I go in, or should I go immediately? Also, am I allowed to receive Holy Communion this coming weekend because this sin was not committed since my last confession?

Just confess next time . If worried can you go back this weekend. Before Holy Communion?

So I am still able to properly take Holy Communion, if i do not go to confession this weekend, correct?

I don’t know about Communion. I am not a Priest. I would go back to Confession as soon as you can to allay your worries.

Let’s tag some Priests. They might be able to help. I just think if you are uncertain just go straight back to Confession.

One cannot commit a mortal sin un-knowingly.

If you only learned “what it was” after the fact, then it could not be a mortal sin.

Also, there’s no way of knowing if a chemical abortion even occurred; since there’s no way to know whether or not conception actually happened. (Because whether it did or did not, the final result is the same, no pregnancy).

You made your best effort at Confession (a sincere effort). Therefore, there’s nothing preventing you from partaking in Holy Communion. You were forgiven and absolved.

Since you now know the nature of the sin, it would be good to mention it in your next confession.
