Asceticism does not require one to live in a world of darkness. The greatest of all sacramental is God’s creation. We should rejoice in it every minute of every day. God did not intend man to be miserable, but to be joyous. Sometimes reverence is best displayed through joy!
In the words of St. Paul, “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again, rejoice!”
