Question about Community Church

“Community Church” is not a denomination. It’s a descriptive suffix used by many different Protestant churches. Any given Community Church might be non-denominational, Baptist, Pentecostal, whatever. Until recently I was a member of an Assemblies of God church that called itself “______ Community Church”. I think all it really means is it’s a church that, regardless of denomination, believes in reaching out and being part of the community it’s in… and that’s a good thing.

Personally, I have no problem with going to multiple churches. Whatever works for you in that respect, although I’d still avoid ones with cultish practices or unsound theology. I’m Episcopalian, and IMO generically Protestant is not necessarily unsound.

*** Just an update but I have decided not to go to any other churches after a lot of prayer. If I have to drive once a month to a Catholic gathering I will. I just love being Catholic and don’t feel I could find the same type of feeling I have at other gatherings. Thanks everyone for your help 🙂
