Do you mean the length of the service, or the length of time it takes to prepare for the service?

The length of the service about 50 kids. I was invited to one and then told I couldnt go and am now invited again and I have a conflict of timing.

If I knew how long the service is I could figure out if I am able to go.

Thanks

50 kids. I would say an hour and a half - minimum. Two hours max.

Easter Vigil is one thing. Pentecost is another. I’ve never seen confirmation outside of this context at my parish… Both of my sons made their first communion within the Easter Season since we don’t have a school associated with the cathedral. And both were confirmed within the Easter Season as members of the cathedral parish with one or two others.

I was confirmed in 1963 with 150 or so classmates - not at Easter but before Easter. March 1963 to be precise.

One and only one adult would add about five or ten minutes to a normal Sunday liturgy. Our local cathedral parish kids are normally confirmed sometime within the Easter season but not with the rest of the adults from the diocese on Pentecost Sunday. But they are confirmed by the bishop within their own cathedral community. 10 minutes max.
