How can we say that we were created by love if there are so many children out there being born out of the selfish act of lust?

We are created by power and will of God. Father and mother are the means for that creation. God can create without father and mother(Adam and Jesus!). In act of God only one attributes of God is not effective but most of attributions are effective. For instance when will of God want to do smoeting then power of God create/do and eternal life of God gives life and eternal wisdom of God give knowledge progressively and so giving hearing and give love etc. God love His creatures because all creatures are created in miraculous and excellent forms. God love all human as being miraculous art of God but God do not love evil deeds of human. So love is not merely effective.How can we say that we were created by love if there are so many children out there being born out of the selfish act of lust?
Some people may be recipient of one attributes of God at high degree. For instance Jesus was very high to receive eternal love of God. But God do not act just through one attribute.

As the foundation of a Christian is a perfectly loving God, it’s good to poke our own understandings in light of perfect love, to ensure we are thinking straight.
God doesn’t create with reservation to undo (that would display a crack in perfection).
So you have to look elsewhere for the cause, when you see something not aligned with a loving God.
Testing the foundation gives confidence to the integrity and longevity of the building.
Be sure to reinforce it as well.

Sometimes, we come very close to agreement…this time it is on the generation of individual life.The love of God initiated human life, even if motivations other than love were instrumental in the generation of a particular life.
