After having gone to the Latin Mass quite a few times, I was wondering, why does the OF have a high and low Mass like the EF does?
Are there ruberics for a high mass in the OF, but we just never experience it?

The strict distinction of High Mass vs. Low Mass no longer exists in the Ordinary Form. Instead, the OF applies a principle of progressive solemnity. In brief, this principle states that higher celebrations have more solemnity, so for example, one could have a Mass with little or no singing on weekdays, to a Mass that may have some singing and some sung parts on a Feast and perhaps a non-principal Sunday Mass, to all out full-sung, six-candle, incense, and chanted readings during a Solemnity or principal Sunday Mass.
