Hi,
For a couple of years my family has been using this program called Legal Sounds that sells songs for 9 cents a song. For a while I did believe it was legal. Nearly two years ago I read something about it only being legal in Russia, but I didn’t give too much thought. I didn’t think it was wrong to buy the music. I didn’t try to justify myself or anything, I just didn’t think it was wrong. Just yesterday I realized that illegally downloading music is a mortal sin and I realized fully that Legal Sounds is NOT legal. I confessed it in confession yesterday.
That being said, do I need to delete all the music I got from Legal Sounds? Also, yesterday I was thinking that I should, but I didn’t think that was necessary. Again, didn’t think of it as a sin. But now I’m beginning to worry and I feel like I need to get to confession ASAP. Help?

I listen to a lot of music…If I delete all of the songs I purchased for 9 cents, that’s at least $900 wasted.
SCRATCH THAT.
at least 90 dollars wasted, which isn’t as bad but still. I miscalculated.

I really don’t think you need to do that. If it’s really bothering you, ask a Priest in confession. 🙂

Thank you. I deleted them from my iTunes playlist, but I realized I still have them on my documents file. I am going to Mass tomorrow so I will ask a priest then. Thanks again for your (name removed by moderator)ut.
