question about Fatima

is there any place were I can look up common questions about Fatima or what I need to know about it in a simple list of commandments or something?
I am curious about the part were she says mary said " only through my heart can sinners be saved…" or something

I am curious because we know Jesus is the only narrow road to salvation. but if John Paul 2 embraced Fatima he must have seen this. What changed his mind? How did he interpret this? I am curious because it also says if I dont believe in Fatima i am sinning and I dont want to do that 😦 and also wouldnt that make the church not the one tru church any more?

any refrences/ websites/ videos/ documents about John Paul 2 embraceing this and more specifically pages to explain the above contradictions of the bible and Fatima would be wonderful 👍

Since I was a teenager some 30+ years ago I have been very interested in Fatima and other apparition sites such as Lourdes. The central message seems to be the same in all of them; repent of our sins and focus on the love and mercy of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Mary is calling us to her Son, Jesus, who loves us so much that He suffered and died a horrible death upon the cross for us. Mary cannot give us salvation;she is a vessal of love that her Son Jesus, who allows her -]/-]to call us to conversion.

WHAT is lying to you about that???

The Holy Mother Church does not require anyone to believe in any approved private revelation!!!

not i am pretty sure it says ( after reading ) that its a sin not to believe her or something.

Other than that, go to the library and check out “Fatima, in Lucia’s Own Words” by Sr. Lucia. This is a 2 volume set.

The Church does not require you to believe any private revelations but this one has been thoroughly investigated and found to be worthy of belief and to contain nothing contrary to the Faith. If you don’t believe it, though, it is not a sin.

Forgive me if I’m incorrect, but it seems as if you are implying that Mary, at Fatima, claimed that salvation came from her. NOTHING could be further from the truth. All of the messages she gave implored that we repent of our sins, make sacrifices in our daily lives & worship her Son. She used the phrase “appease Him” quite often. Here are some quotes re Fatima:

[SIGN]In August of 1917 Our Lady told the children, “pray much and make sacrifices for sinners, for many souls go to hell because there is no one to make sacrifices for them.” As to the kinds of sacrifices Our Lady was asking, she revealed to Sr. Lucia on one occasion: “**The good Lord **is allowing Himself to be appeased . . . but He Himself complains most bitterly and sorrowfully about the small number of souls in **His grace **who are willing to renounce whatever the observance of **His laws **requires of them.“

“Offer up everything in your power as a sacrifice **to the Lord **in reparation for the sins by which He is offended, and in supplication for the conversion of sinners . . . More than all else, accept and bear with resignation the sufferings that God may send you.”[/SIGN]

I do not know how many centuries it will take to convince non-Catholics that we do NOT worship Mary & perhaps you (generic you) will never understand. We honor her, as her Son honors her, we have devotion to her, as does her Son. However, our salvation comes from God the Father Who gave us His only begotten Son in order that we might be saved. Our Salvation comes from that Son Who gave His life that we might live. Our salvation comes through the Holy Spirit Whose wisdom guided the way for Christ & for His Church. Please be one of the FEW non-Catholics who truly investigates our teachings on Mary, the Mother of Christ. At Fatima, she was her Son’s messenger.

but can anyone please explain why it says that You need to believe in Mary at Fatima to be saved. I know it probly meant something a little different because The pope believed in Fatima. And also it says that around her heart is a crown of thorns of sins. People have sined against her. what are some of these sins ( just curious)?

I know I could sin agianst her if I wasnt nice or something in prayer.
I dont quite know what she means though that people sin agianst her. What would be some of these sins?

I know the example I gave would be a sin.

what “it” says if you don’t believe in Fatima you are sinning
Fatima, like all private revelation, even if the Church approves the message, is not required belief. It merely confirms existing doctrine and adds no new doctrine.

if you are getting your info from a schismatic or heretical source, such as the many websites which claim to be Catholic, yet place the Fatima message above Church teaching, you should cease immediately for the safety of your soul.

go to Mass and the sacraments, read the catechism and the bible if you want to know what the Church teaches and be faithful. the only commandments you need are the 10 commandments of the decalogue and the beatitudes

I guess that is just my point – we have limited time and attention for spiritual reading, for informational reading, and for study on the faith. why on earth should we waste that time and attention on non-Catholic unreliable sources? why even visit those websites or buy those books or watch those programs? life is too short.

Oh I dont know if that site was catholic or not 🤷
I will do it later. I am catholic by the way. I was just looking into this 🙂
