I’m confused that the church teaches that no one can commit a mortal sin unless the person knows it’s a mortal sin and then goes ahead and commits the sin anyway with full consent.
If that’s the case, then why was St. Teresa of Avila shown her place in hell by the Lord… when she said she never committed a mortal sin and can’t recall any time in her life when she did (intentionally)?
This has caused me alot of worry because I feel like I could be damned even if I have no mortal sins on my soul that I know of.
