My husband gave me a rosary and a crucifix. I don’t know the first thing about getting them blessed or even if someone who is converting can. Can someone tell me how that is done?

Probably the easiest thing is to take them to Mass with you and ask the priest to bless them afterward.

since you are converting, i take it that you know a Catholic priest. If you do just go up to him after Mass or something and ask if he could bless them for you. It will take less than a minute am sure.

Okay, thank you.
You take the items to a priest; the priest blesses the items; the priest returns the items to you.

WELCOME TO THE CATHOLIC CHURCH!!!

W0OOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

I am very happy for you.

Congratulations.

A related question from a fellow convert:

What is the purpose of having an object blessed? I was gifted with a St Benedict medal-cross last year that had been blessed by Pope John Paul II before he died, but I have no idea why that makes it so much more special.

Because he is special and the vicar of Christ.
