Question about Hail Mary Prayer

Hi,

When I am a kid, I repeatedly having a bad dream of a devil/demon behind the door. And every time i have the dream I will be praying Our Father followed by Hail Mary prayers. The demon/devil will break thru at the end eventually after the end of Hail Mary prayer in the dreams and the dream ended there. And one time when I have the same dream again, in the dream I decided only to pray Our Father prayer and not to Hail Mary, and the devil behind the door goes silent and gone.

Since that day, I don’t have the same dream and I stopped Hail Mary prayer in real life and forgetting the prayer but remembering about that dream
It is now at least 20yrs since I forgetting Hail Mary prayer… And I am looking back the prayer content and wondering why do I have that odd dream. And confused why…

I am sad that you stopped saying the Hail Mary, and my immediate reaction is to think that the devil sent you the dream to frighten you into not saying it and the devil won and went away happy.

I think the devil didnt want u to say the prayer…when u stopped he left u alone in that regard but certianly kept hurting u in other ways. I would definately start praying it again.
