I’ve invested an awful lot of resources into becoming a medical practitioner. In fact, I’ve dedicated my entire life to it. I am very, very close to making that dream becom a reality.

What does the HHS mandate mean? Will I really be required to provide my employees with contraceptives? Is there any way around this? Do I really have to abandon everything that I’ve worked for throughout my entire life to get to where I am now, and switch to some other career?

To clarify - I will be in a private practice, and the owner of said practice. Does this apply to all medical fields? Are things like dental and optometry affected in the same way?

The mandate applies to employers with 50 or more employees. Most medical practices are not that large.

Another way to get around it is to not have “full time” employees. For the purposes of Obamacare, “full time” is defined at 30 hours a week or more. So hire your employees for a 7-hr day, 4-day workweek.

No, it means if you have 50 or more employees you have to provide a health insurance plan.

You do not have to dispense contraceptives to employees or patients.

Thanks for the responses guys.

Wow I just noticed the massive typo in the topic title. That is what happens when you do not get enough sleep.
