Question about LOTH please

Hello

I am new to praying the LOTH. Why is there a New Testament verse above each psalm? Is it to give you a hint at the fulfilment of the Psalm?

Correct, it’s something to help you reflect on the psalm. It’s not to be prayed as part of the psalm or anything like that. So for example, in a group praying of the LOTH you would not read that part out loud.

I might be wrong about this part, but I don’t even think all the editions of the LOTH have those verses, such as Shorter Christian Prayer.
