Today, an anti-Catholic quoted Luke 11:27-28 to me, to argue against the veneration of Mary. I answered his argument, but I’m not sure if I did it right. I tried to refute his argument by saying that Jesus was saying that everyone who hears and keeps the word of God is blessed, including his mother. This guy said that Jesus was saying that he, the anti-Catholic, is more blessed than Mary, because he keeps and obeys the word of God.
Are there any better ways to answer that argument than the way I answered it? What is Jesus saying in this passage?
