***Unfortunately the Apostles didn’t hand down most of what the RCC embraces. And I do appreciate your efforts to try to expound on erroneous views and you are also right because my mind is made up concerning that which I believe God has revealed to me, but not so made up in some areas where I can’t be taught…😃 ***

that was the author of a work written before 383 against the belief in the perpetual virginity of Mary (mother of Jesus).

The Perpetual Virginity of Blessed Mary

newadvent.org/fathers/3007.htm

I extremly recommend you to read that work.

I believe that Mary was a virgin prior to the birth of our Lord. I don’t buy the fact that she and Joseph never had relations afterward.
Sex between a husband and wife is a beautiful gift from God. It simply seem to contradict the rest of scripture…
God created sex and it’s good and loving, not dirty.
Sex is good and loving and not dirty indeed - barring adultery and fornication and so on. But would you have sex with your spouse in a church? So clearly there are occasions when it’s inappropriate.

Mary’s body contained God incarnate - it was a temple, a holy sacred place, a church in effect. She was the living Ark of the Covenant. She was in effect the ‘spouse’ of God the Father and the Holy Spirit - through whom she conceived Jesus. More so even than she was the spouse of Joseph.

Joseph would have known better than to ignore all of this and have sex with her. He knew that people died for touching the old Ark of the Covenant and that ordinary people weren’t allowed to enter the Holy of Holies in the Temple.

**I guess you are right on, truth coming from different people will still be seen as truth. **
Yes, and so will poison. You fundamentalists have the granular truth, no question. Don’t get me wrong. You’re Christian. But you have attached yourself to many errors, and you’re proud of those errors. I’m sure you don’t recognize them as errors. When I was a fundamentalist, I was very over-proud of my errors, and didn’t know they were errors, until years later, when by accident I noticed that there was no unity among the brethren, except that which came from being AGAINST things, especially Catholics and mainline Protestants. Noticing that, I started thinking about things more deeply, which thinking gradually led me away from the errors of fundamentalism.

Have you ever wondered what happens to the leftover lamb when it’s sacrificed in the OT?
I guess I’m curious to know what you think is done with the ‘leftover’ Eucharist in a Catholic Church.

… and how Christ’s perfect sacrifice compares to the imperfect sacrifice of the Jews at Passover.

In the OT, the “leftover” meat from the sacrifices were eaten by the priests.

Interestingly, the Christian Church is “a kingdom of priests and a holy nation,” like ancient Israel was called to be.
We have an ordained ministerial priesthood as well as the common priesthood of all believers. When the Eucharistic Lamb is offered to God on our altars, the ordained ministerial priest communes with the body and blood of the Lord first, and then the rest is given as communion to the entire congregation, the priesthood of believers.

Lets just pretend here for a moment that you are Mary. You held in your womb for 9 months and then brought into the world the Messiah, the 2nd Person of the Trinity, the Son of God.

Are you telling me that you would look at your womb in the same way? Are you telling me that you, the “Ark of the New Covenent” would want to defile (I’m not implying dirty here) the space that held and nurtured “The Word”, God incarnate?

If so, then gosh, I’m glad God picked Mary!
