Hello i am a pre catholic, a catholic who wait till easter to baptize and get the other sacraments, and cant join the eucharist.
I read that missing a mass on sundays and days like the maria assumption is a mortal sin for a catholic. How is this for a catechum?

Holy Days of Obligation are requirements for Catholics. Catechumens are not under the law in that regard yet. So, no, catechumens do not have an obligation to attend mass on Holy Days. As you go through preparation, you will learn about these days, when you will need to attend Mass, etc.

Remember, there is no sin if a Catholic cannot attend a day of obligation due to illness or other reasons.
