Question about Mortifications and Penance

I just want to ask, what are some penance I can do to remove grief in Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart. I know pray the Rosary, kiss the ground, fasting and abstinence.

As Children of Light, we must Pray for and offer sacrifices for the conversion sinners.

Do your duties with more joy and promptness.

Get a spiritual director and “do whatever he tells you.”

Work on eliminating all attachment to all sin, even venial sin. This will allow the reception of plenary indulgences which can be applied to oneself or can be applied to others in purgatory. Also doing more penance (including partial indulgences).

1460 … Such penances help configure us to Christ, who alone expiated our sins once for all. They allow us to become co-heirs with the risen Christ, “provided we suffer with him.”

1478 An indulgence is obtained through the Church who, by virtue of the power of binding and loosing granted her by Christ Jesus, intervenes in favor of individual Christians and opens for them the treasury of the merits of Christ and the saints to obtain from the Father of mercies the remission of the temporal punishments due for their sins. Thus the Church does not want simply to come to the aid of these Christians, but also to spur them to works of devotion, penance, and charity.90
