Just occurred to me some others must have survived…and they are the ancestors of today’s anti-environmentalists and global warming denialists 🙂

It’s interesting to read so many different points of views.
I was always thought that the flood was global. Prior to this night, I had not heard about a local flood.
I don’t know if I’m correct but, I believe that The Bible only speaks what is needed to be heard. Or teaches the important stuff.
I don’t know if there would be an impact on the churches teaching if the flood was local instead of local. If nothing really changes then why would it need to be on The Bible? or so I would think.

Why didn’t Noah just move to high ground? It might have been much easier than to spend 100 years building an ark.

Noah had to follow the instructions given by God. In all likelihood, even if it were a local flood, all of the high ground known to him was submerged. Remember that the ark came to rest on a mountain after the flood waters receded enough to reveal it.
