Ok, If you accidentally miss a day from praying a Novena, do you have to start all over? I was on day 4 of my novena and didnt get a chance to do it…Do I start at Day 1?

Also, I read off the Internet the prayer that the Novena has. However, when I read, it seems that im not concentrating as much as I would if I would make it a personal prayer in my mind. I try my best too but I’m reading sentences…these sentences mean something, obviously, but sometimes I find it hard to read it and mean it at the same time…i cant close my eyes, because i need to read it…but if i close my eyes, i find that my prayers are more meaningful…is this a problem when praying novenas?

I can’t answer your question exactly.

I just wanted to say, I don’t believe that God or any Saint that you pray to is going to care if you missed a day or two on accident or if you don’t get the prayer exactly right 🤷

Hi!

*** A novena is meant to establish the HABIT OF PRAYER.***
People tend to get superstitious about novenas, ascribing a certain number of days to say it; some even specify the time of day!

While it is virtuous and tradition to say novenas for 9 days, it is not invalid if you miss a day or use your own words.

***Be assured the Lord hears all, does not keep count, and our beloved saints assist us just invoking their name 🙂 ***

Blessings~
