Pax Christi !

Is it ok if I post a religious photo (tabernacle, churches, etc…) in a social media like instagram? I know it’s not much of a big deal but I’ll still ask it tho…

Thnks and God bless us all

Given that the Vatican allows a 3D view of their chapel on their website, respectful photography has been approved by example.

That said, it would be rude to photograph or build a portfolio without getting permission from the church, just like you would seek approval from a farmer to include a picture of his barn in a portfolio. In this case the office staff or pastor would be most appropriate.

Most of the retreats I have been on have included photographers. They are even taking pictures during adoration, mass, etc. So as long as you are relevant while taking pictures of such objects, then it is actually a good thing to post them online; as long as you have permission.

This is actually evangelizing and should be commended.
