I was not sure I would be able to get to mass tonight after work so I went to an ashes only service(no mass) this morning. If I am able to get to mass tonight should I get ashes again?
You may. Receiving ashes is not a sacrament. It is more like a blessing. But people might question it if the ashes from your first reception remain on your forehead.
