Question about Relationships and Dating

Lets say someone meets a person he/she shares a lot in common with however, the person happens to have a porn addiction or watches porn from time to time and that is a deal breaker for the other person, should the person consider dating he/she?
 
I wouldn’t. My ex was into porn, and he expected our sex life to be an extention of that. It was no good. 😦
 
I would say no. The problem isn’t just the addiction to porn. Porn promotes other, more violent crimes and activity. Needing to view it is not a sign of a healthy mind or stable moral fortitude. Let this be a sign of a need to move on and away from the person.
 
I would say it depends but in the vast majority of cases, no they should not consider dating.

ETA Sorry, I missed the fact that this was a dealbreaker to her, if its a deal breaker its a dealbreaker, so of course she shouldn’t. If its not really a dealbreaker to her, then the above applies. But she absolutely should not give in to a dealbreaker because of pressure from others.

I think part of the issue is: Is the woman addicted to porn? . . . or, the man?

If it is a SHE, then most of the advice you got may not apply.
After all, many men would probably see that as an Asset to an exciting Marriage.

But, I assume you are asking about a man and his Porn.
If you share a lot in common with him, then go over that List, and see if those things are important in your Future Life.

The next thing is: If you’ve never before dated a man with this “problem” … it would not injure you to go out with him a couple of times, to see if he can relate to you in a “normal” way.
If he is wonderful to be with on a Date, THEN it’s time to decide the issue : What about me spending the rest of my Life with this guy?
