Question about St. Francis

I’m listening to an Audible book, Brother Francis: The Barefoot Saint of Assisi. It’s really good so far. I am curious, I can’t seem to find anything about Francis’ family after he renounced his father. Was his relationship with his family ever restored? Did any of them follow in his steps?

From what I have read, there is no evidence that he ever reconciled with his father. Some sources say that his father continued to be upset with him for years and would express his anger every time they passed on the street.

A couple sources say that he never broke with his mother, although I would think that if his father was upset with him, it would make it pretty hard to communicate with his mother in that era.

Interestingly, there is a statue of his mother and father outside the church in Assisi.
