It is no different if the wife chooses to use a form of Artificial birth control (ABC) than if a man does. You must continue to pray for him, try to convince him otherwise and let him use the ABC not you. You are not sinning if you follow these rules - yes, it is not pleasant I have been there and done that and gotten the advise of many good priests here on-line as well as IRL (in real life). We are now back to using NFP exclusively (something we did when we first got married but we weren’t trying to avoid at that time!) What finally convince him was my lack of desire and fear of becoming allergic to the condom material (a strong possibility for me as the older I get the more allergic I become).So the question I have is…What if the husband insists on BC and you do not want to use it. Can you still have relations w/o sinning or is this only when sterilization (husband) or wife (pill/ IUD/ sterilization) ? Curious on my end, trying to get non Catholic husband to move to NFP…HELP!
