Question about the 5th glorious mystery of the Holy Rosary

i hope i am posting this in the correct section,
the 5TH glorious mystery-the coronation refers to i verse in judith 15, 9-10. this verse according to the new Jerusalem Bible that i use, is what the Elders of Israel said to Judith herself, my question is… why do we use it as the fruit of the mystery, for the coronation of Mary. thank you and God bless.
ps. i would greatly like if some of the Catholic members here join the forum at ‘www.faithfreaks.com’ it is full of members of protestant churches who are ignorant about Catholicism and twist our scriptures, to support their false teachings. i could use some support in enlightening our protestant brothers and sisters about Catholicism. i am having difficulty in doing so alone. thanks

I’m not as familiar with the Old Testament as I should be and I don’t regularly pray the Rosary, but I certainly didn’t know that Judith 15: 9-10 was associated with the fifth Glorious Mystery. Having just read those two verses, but admittedly being ignorant of the greater context, I cannot see how it is symbolic of Mary’s coronation in Heaven - it does speak of a woman (Judith) who will be highly regarded in time to come, but even if this is allegorical, I don’t see where the coronation idea comes from.

I think it’s far clearer in the book of Revelation - the beginning of chapter twelve: “A great portent appeared in Heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars.” I think it is much easier to identify this woman as Mary - the next verse says that she is with child and the Beast appears as an enemy seeking to destroy the child as soon as He is born -i.e. Christ. Her son is referred to as one who will rule the Earth with an iron rod.

but the mystery is the verses in Juidth 15: 9-10

My booklet mentions Romans 8; 22, We find peace in the promise that one day we will be lifted by grace to the place where all is one, where communion with the Son is a glorious wedding feast.

**If we consider that Mary is in the Heavenly Jerusalem, and that she is the the highest of saints, then this verse, which applies to Judith, could be considered a type for Mary’s reception in Heaven. One can imagine the angels rejoicing and praising the Mother of God for her role in the Savior’s mission.

I also have this in my booklet, however, it is the fourth glorious mystery, signifying the assumption of Mary, in which the fruit of the mystery is Grace of a Happy death

oh, i understand now, i can definately see this type of praising for our Holy Mother in Heaven after her assumption. I became a bit confused with a particular chapter in "the secret of the Rosary’ by St. Louis De Montfort, when he said that the 15 mysteries of the Holy Rosary were practised by Jesus and Mary. (page 17) So the confusion started by wondering why the praise of Judith was used for Mary. Thank you for giving me some insight.
