Hello Everyone,
I have a quick question. During the Asperges when the priest reaches your section of the church and sprinkles the faithful with the holy water, what is the correct response from the people in that section? I see some people making the sign of the cross, some do nothing, some bow, and some genuflect. My 1962 missal doesn’t have any direct commentary on this issue and I was curious if these practices are dictated by local custom or if there is actually a ‘technically correct’ answer?

Thanks for any (name removed by moderator)ut!

I say cross one’s self, and bow slightly at the same time. I always bow when the Priest passes me if I’m in the congregation.
