Usually I hear people pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet at 3:00 but is it okay to pray it at a different time, like late at night. Or is it a requirement to pray it at 3:00?

3pm is the “hour of mercy” - but the Chaplet may be prayed at any time.

You can view the official video and pray the chaplet at any time.

I think it’s encouraged to be prayed at 3:00, but as far as I know you can pray it whenever you want to. That’s what i do, during the school year I can’t very well pray the divine mercy chaplet while I’m running from my locker on one end of the school to the bus on the other end lol.

Our church prays it at 3:00pm only on Thursday when there is a day long veneration of the Blessed Sacrament. But on other weekdays, it is said before each Mass. I’m sure this will be considered sacreligious by some, but I also swim, and I sing the Chaplet in my head while I do my laps. 🙂

I pray it all day long. I have a CD in my car of it set to music. It’s beautiful and I can pray while I drive to do my home visits.

I watch it sung on EWTN at 3:00pm when I can. It’s so beautiful when it’s sung. We sang it only once in Church, on Divine Mercy Sunday. I wish we could sing it more. (I’m going to get the CD too, Irish gal.)

Now is that 3pm man’s time [DST] or God’s time [Standard time]? 😃
