I don’t want to sound like I’m questioning but I’m dying to know:

Does the Eucharist truly make a difference in one’s life?

For example, before someone becomes Catholic and they’re dealing with anger or a weakness to prayer, etc. will the Eucharist “help” them once they take the Eucharist?

Well, since it’s Christ TRULY present in the Eucharist, and He enters you, wouldn’t you get all the strength from Him?

Hi Paris,

I asked the same question when I came into the church. The response that a Carmelite nun gave me was:

“Yes.”

Then I asked “why doesn’t everyone who receives Christ become perfect?”

Her response: “It’s sort of like building a castle in your soul. It happens brick by brick.”

I thought they were good responses, and it helped me.👍

What do you think?

Yes, the Eucharist is the most precious and most powerful gift Jesus left us – Himself. If people were transformed by touching the hem of His robe, just think how we can be transformed by receiving His Very Being in Holy Communion!

I have heard priests talk about the amount of grace we receive from the Sacraments depends on how disposed we are to receive that grace. Are we conscious of Who we are receiving? Are we asking for special graces after Communion? Are we offering those graces for the benefit of others?

If we go blindly up to receive without really thinking about it, we are not as disposed to receive graces. We still receive them, but not as abundantly.

It’s the same with Eucharistic Adoration. Everyone receives graces simply by being in His presence, but those who go with more open hearts and minds will receive even more.
