Question about the Little Office of the BVM

I have a copy of the Little Office (a small purple cloth bound volume from Carmel Books) which has a section which I am a bit confused about. I am hoping that somebody here more versed in these things than I can perhaps clarify this for me.

At the end of the Nocturn, just before the Absolution and Lessons, is this:

V. Diffusa est gratia in labiis tuis.
R. Propterea benedixit te Deus in aeternum.
Pater noster, &c.
V. Et ne nos inducas in tentationem
R. Sed libera nos a malo.

What I am wondering about is how complete is the Pater noster? Are the last two lines meant to finish that prayer, or do they echo the last two petitions of the preceding Pater noster? I have prayed it as written, completing the Pater noster through to the Amen so that the last two petitions are echoed after, but I am not sure if I am doing this correctly. Have I been right?

In Choir or Common, the Pater would be said quietly until the last two lines.

The last two lines are meant to finish the prayer, not a repeat of the end of the Pater Noster. When the Office is being recited with others, the “Et nos inducas…” is said by the one leading, and the rest respond with “Sed libera nos a malo.” And yes, the main of the Pater Noster is recited silently.

Many thanks for the help on that. I wouldn’t have guessed about it being silent. Several places have prayers labeled as “secretly” which I have assumed as meaning silently or very quietly, but this one didn’t say anything like that.
