I see a lot of posters who reply with the same prayers to each thread. I’m just wondering, do they say the prayers when they post them or are they just “cut and pasted” to each thread and not actually said? I’m not sure how this works? Sorry, hope my question doesn’t sound rude.

I’ve seen 3 or 4 threads bumped in a single minute by the same person, so I guess I wondered how they could say the prayers they posted three times over within a minute. Do they keep track and say the prayers later? I’m really curious! What is everyone’s prayer method for this forum? 🙂

I can only speak for myself. I usually copy and paste an Our Father and Hail Mary for most threads. As I do I usually say “Lord hear my Prayer.” Then every evening during my bedtime prayers, I ask the Lord bless each and every request I replied to that day. The way I see it…our Lord sees, hears, and knows the intentions of every single post made in this forum and He answers them according to His will. I also believe that Mother Mary and all the saints hear our prayers as well.

Some of the prayer warriors have the ability to say beautiful and different prayers for each situation. I don’t. My replies may be copied and pasted but, my intentions are real and I do pray for all of them.

Thanks for asking.

:blessyou:

I think a short prayer is usually fine.

Everyone has their own method or way of approaching each prayer intention. I just take each member’s word for it that they prayed either now when they made their post, or will later, and not worry about it.

For myself, I usually may post something like “Prayers offered for x” or something like that, and will pray perhaps an Our Father, Hail Mary, the Memorare, Glory Be, etc., and may also pray some personal prayers as well but may or may not post them. I also may give advise or try to give some words of comfort depending on each prayer intention. And in some cases, I may continue to pray for that person throughout the week or months, it just depends on the intention.

I don’t post often in the prayer intentions, but when I do I offer a prayer as I’m posting and then throughout the day will pray short prayers as well.

I will usually tailor a personal silent prayer for that person’s specific needs, right at the time that they request it. I usually make a public comment on their post like, “Prayers said for you.”

I will also remember them throughout the day or evening too, or during the week, etc., and will pray for them wherever I am at when I pray for the other forum members, too.

I will also comment on the person’s prayer request thread, if I have something of a personal nature to comment on, that I feel that can add to their post.

I try to say a pray for them as I am responding. When I pray my daily Rosary, I’m praying for the intentions of all.

Yes, I agree that each person would have his/her method of praying for an intention. In my case, I post the prayer for a particular intention, after which I say the prayer that I just posted. Then in my daily Morning Offering, all of my CAF prayer intentions are also included by way of a ‘general intention’, so that these are included daily in my prayers even when I am unable to post prayers for them.

Everyone is different. I have a rather poor memory, so I don’t always remember intentions later on in the day. That’s why I never post any prayer that I have not already said. It’s just easier for me that way.

Obviously I do not know the intention of the poster you refer to but one thing I do realize is that when in prayer often "time"espcapes. Please know my prayer is constant and strong for the needs of those at St. Mary’s.

I do say the prayers that I post. Yes, it’s true that I have a list of them but when I find the one I think is right, I copy/paste and say the prayers. Usually a special one in my mind too.
I tend to believe that everyone in the prayer forum is actually praying for the particular intention.
I also ask the Lord to answer the prayers of all the requests on CAF during my daily prayers.

I definitely think everyone has a different way of praying for the intentions here- many people read the posts, pray and do not post that they have prayed at all. For myself, I search the internet, my prayer books or scripture for specific prayers for each intention. Sometimes I feel led to do more- i.e., offer communion, sacrifices, penance, rosary, etc., which I usually try to state, but not always. I then copy or type the prayer and pray it as if I were that person standing before God asking for the intention. If I feel the Holy Spirit nudge me in regards to that particular intention, I will go back to that thread and keep praying until the prayer has been obviously answered or I no longer feel any nudges to pray.

Like others, if I don’t pray right away there is a chance I will forget all of them I might have promised. I love the Memorare and pray it frequently for the prayers that are requested and I post it also. I believe that most people pray exactly what they say they will, I know I do.
