Question about the St. Michael Chaplet

Hello All! Being a convert, I seem to always be finding out about things that most of you have know all of your lives. Recently I was watching EWTN and they had a program of Mother Angelica reciting the Saint Michael Chaplet. I immediately fell in love with this and wanted to start making it a daily practise in my life. My question is about the rosary used to recite it. Is it a special rosary or do people use their regular rosary? I googled this but could not find any real answer. Thank you very much for your help and God Bless!!!

I was intrigued by your question so I got out my wife’s Chaplet to St. Michael.

On the pendant is a medal of the Saint, followed up by 4 beads and then a single bead. Then there are 9 sets of 3 beads with a single bead between each set of 3. So then I went to this web site and copied the Chaplet link. catholictradition.org/Angels/michael-chaplet.htm .

I suppose that one could use a Rosary but with the arrangement of the prayers I think it would be confusing. Wife said she bought this Chaplet at a Catholic store in Portland Oregon for about $5.00.

Oh - I love to pray that chaplet. It’s incredibly rewarding, spiritually.

You can’t use a regular rosary because as the previous poster noted, there are different numbers of beads on it. But one great thing is that you can also pray the chaplet of the Holy Angels on it, which is similar, and also very awesome.
