Today I went to confession before Mass. One of the questions the priest asked me for clarification I answered No to and after absolution I recalled an incident that I forgot about that would have made that answer incorrect. Is my confession still valid, or should I go again? Was that sin that I forgot about absolved with everything else even though I gave the wrong answer unknowingly?Check purses It was something that I truly forgot about, I was not intentionally trying to deceive the priest in any way.

No, your Confession was fine because you truly did not know what you were saying. However, I would just mention it next time.

May God bless you and grant you peace! 🙂

If a person was contrite and amended regarding mortal sin and intending to confess them all…and just forgot something… the forgotten sin is absolved “indirectly” - if mortal - one would mention in the next confession though.

Yes, and it is required, assuming it is remembered.
