I could be wrong but are there different gospels for the ordidary mass and the tradational mass ? If so how come ? Why dont they use the same gospels readings ?
Unless I am very much mistaken, the lectionary was reworked for the N.O., as well as the calendar. This should answer your question, unless I am mistaken.

To add, instead of a one year cycle of readings, there is now a 3-year cycle. Each year covering one Gospel. And because Mark’s Gospel is short, he shares his cycle with John.
