So would you have to confess not putting God first every time you go to confession? Because every time you sin you don’t really put God first, you put yourself first.
YES!
Most Christian know what is the right thing to do.
They know what God wants.
But they say, I don’t care. I want what I want.
If God truly is at the center of our life, we do what God wants.
Ultimately, the reason we all are here is to praise God in all things, and to love and serve one another as brothers and sisters!
“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbour as yourself.” Luke 10:27.
Seems like a good verse to start with when doing an examination of conscience and then later confession. I have the feeling that every single priest would agree
