Question about Women Priests

Ok, I know I should know the answer, but I don’t, so I thought I would ask here. I just want to know the background on why women are not allowed to become priests. I don’t know all the reasoning behind it and I figure someone here does.

I am not trying to start a big debate. I am just curious!
