That’s the most generous thing I’ve heard said here. I’m not opposed to the Latin Mass, but I happen to like the current OF that I go to. “IF” the call came to resort to the 1962 missal, well, I guess it wouldn’t affect my Catholicism but I would feel, like maybe some of the “old timers,” like something changed that maybe didn’t need changing.

I just don’t know anymore…the more I read and think about it, I don’t think that there was ever really a golden age of western Catholicism. The problems and dangers encountered by the church in centuries past make the current squabbles look like nothing in comparison.
