As long as it is NOT worn in a disrespectful manner, i.e. as a gang symbol, as adornment of a costume for jewelry, and is not flaunted as something sacraligious in nature rosaries can be worn as bracelets and the such as long as it is used for the purpose it was intended for. PRAYER. Look at the website on the Vatican, they SELL rosary bracelets as reminders to pray the rosary…they are blessed by the Pope in Rome. $42 a bracelet at wwwvaticangifts.com/Your right, gang members wear them around their necks, etc. They also have tatoos of Jesus or Our Lady, mainly Our Lady of Guadalupe.Oh by the way,I know people who are Catholic and do hang a rosary from the rear view mirror. That’s common amongst people here, especially here in the San Antonio /South Texas area.
My devout German Catholic greataunts never wore any rosary around their necks or had one hanging from the rear view mirror. My parents had a small st.Christopher statue in the car, because he is the patron saint of travelers. They had rosaries too, but don’t really recall them saying it.Oh they honored the Blessed Mother and asked her help, but just weren’t sayers of the rosary.
And in the old days Catholics didn’t waer the rosary around their neck like some babble.
That was disrespectful to Mary and would have gotten you chewed out by a priest or a nun if they caught you.
God Bless
