I believe all Gospels are inspired. I believe so because oral teachings would never survive to portray Christ as we know HIM today. Too many heretics would have been able to distort the truth. This is why Ignatius pushed so hard for an official canon. The church was growing so fast outside of verbal teachings that Ignatius wanted to ensure the works that were being read and circulated were consistent with what the church leadership was teaching. Everything the ECFs taught was bench marked against scripture.
