At least, I wouldnāt have a problem saying that. I think it is also true that the good and godly men who have held the office in recent decades have, more often than not, spoken for orthodox Christianity - using their high visibility as a witness for Christ and, in effect, acting as a āheadā of sorts of a sadly visibly-divided Christendom.
We are caught, as seemingly usual, in that odd middle that few protestants venture into.
