I am Catholic and I trul believe in the real presence and have no doubt. I have read books on miracles of the real presence in the history of the last 2000 yrs. There have been numerous miracles of the Eucharist and Wine actually turning into blood and the flesh. They have beld or they have withstood science and time. I have personally seen some of the miracles displayed to this day and science cannot even explain it.
My question is have there been any documented miracles in any protestant churchs who recognize the real presence? And also how do you explain that no other church other than the Catholic Church has the real presence? Thanks and please be respectful!

I don’t know of any, I can’t explain why there haven’t been if there haven’t been. There esistence or not does not effect my belief in the real presence.
My understanding is that most of the times Eucharistic miracles take place at a time of doubt in His real presence. Perhaps Lutherans have not expressed enough doubt in the real presence to need a Eucharistic miracle. I’m just kidding. the serious answer is the first paragraph.
THanks Jon. I have great respect for Lutherans. Many Catholics do not realize how close Lutherans beliefs are to catholics. My mom and my grandparents are Lutheran and so is my g/f ELCA and MIssouri Synod. My dad and I are Catholic and my dads parents are Catholic. My girlfriend has done a lot of studying of Catholicism by herself and will be attending RCIA next year. She has found that the Lutheran religion is just incomplete in truth while Catholicism holds all truth. But I have great respect for the Lutheran Church.
If only Catholics could understand at this point of how much we need Ecumenicial talks instead of Dictating talks like pointing fingers and saying “Your wrong”. The lord is not fond of the proud. And I have learned that teaching my g/f a Lutheran that humility goes so much farther than pointing fingers and arrogance.

Flight I think real presence gets defined in different ways. Catholics believe in transubstantiation which is a literal change in the elements of bread and wine to the flesh and blood of Christ. Consubstantiation is Christ’s literal presence in the bread and wine along with the bread and wine themselves. Then you have spiritual presence in which folks believe Christ is present spiritually during Communion but not in the bread and wine itself. To say documented miracles regarding the real presence is tricky because you are referring to miracles involving the bread and wine themselves.
Many who profess a spiritual presence will attest to miracles not involving the bread and wine but more personal miracles. One example I can give to you is a woman at our church who was diagnosed with terminal throat cancer. In August of 2007 she was told she would not live to see Christmas. Her faith was in serious doubt for a long time and she would admit her personal struggle with committing to Christ. Even questioning HIS existence. Our church held a prayer service in which the Elders, family and friends laid their hands on her to raise her up in prayer to GOD. As she went through treatment our Pastors performed sick and shut in visits to her giving her communion. Her faith grew amazingly strong throughout the course of her treatments which were rigorous cyber knife radiation treatments.
After her last treatment she needed to have surgery due to a pathology report that looked questionable. After the surgeons opened her up they found what they thought to be remnants of the cancer to be simply scar tissue. The surgeon readily admitted it was an act of GOD to use his words. As Roxanne was recovering from her anesthesia she saw Jesus. Without getting into the details for lack of space, I’ll just say that HE had a profound impact on her. The second Roxanne felt HIS touch she could feel her pain from the cancer disappear. At the end of her vision Jesus told her HE needed to return. Roxanne was crying and calling out to HIM not to leave her. About 30 seconds later she came out of her anesthesia and overheard a recovery room nurse telling another nurse and I’ll quote:
“this woman is calling out for Jesus” They informed her they heard her cries for Jesus. Roxanne is alive and well today and in complete remission. Her dedication to Christ as a servant is incredible.
I think the point to this is miracles exist that could be attributed to partaking in the Lord’s supper as Roxanne did during her stay in the hospital which seemed to strengthen her faith. But they may not get documented or get the attention that say seeing a statue of Mary cry would. Or the supposed miracles that surround the bread and wine.
Wow NDFAN that is a beautiful story! I have to say that is truly amazing. Thank you so much for sharing it with me. If you do not mind me asking was that in the Lutheran Church? I totally agree with you that spiritual miracles happen all over. Not even Catholics can argue and define the Lord ONLY being in our sacraments. The best I was ever told that is "the Lord bound the Sacrments to the Catholic Church, BUT and BIG BUT, the Lord is not bound to his sacraments because he is God and God is not limited to anything. He is the almighty! I never say never with God.

But I will have to say I have not heard any real miracle with the physical aspect of the Eucharist yet other than in the Catholic Church. Maybe because of the transtantion thing not sure honestly. But I truly do believe that the spiritual aspect of things are in others Eucharist for sure other than Catholics. THanks again! Great story!
