It’s not a doctor’s job to push his or her religion on patients. How would you feel if a Hindu doctor told you to light candles to Shiva to cure your cold?[SIGN][/SIGN]Oh, Can you tell people in your work to pray? If you work in a Dr’s office and a person has cancer can you tell that person to pray? Maybe in some work places but all?
Whoever told you that was giving you some good advice. In a diverse workplace environment, no one appreciates being force fed your beliefs.I was always told in a public workplace to keep my beliefs to myself.
Again, it’s not a teacher’s job to “speak of God” or “express their personal beliefs.” It’s their job to teach the material, which – unless it’s specifically a theology class – will have nothing to do with any particular god or any particular religion. Once again, imagine a Hindu teacher telling your kid about the joy of worshipping Shiva during a social studies lesson. How would you feel about that? Are teachers aloud to speak of God in school today? Are they aloud to express their personal beliefs to students?
Put up all the Christian decorations you want on your property – or pay to put up Christian ads, like I see on the subway all the time. Or stand out in public and hand out pamphlets. It’s when you want to put up decorations on government property that you’re going to have a problem. We can’t put up any public Christian decorations without being sued.
No, we don’t allow school officials to lead students in prayer because our government, and government-run institutions, like schools, do not support any particular religion over another or religion over non-religion. Note, however, that individual students can pray all they want privately. We don’t pray in school only because less than 2% of us are atheist (and the 2% probably don’t care, and if you do, get over it).
**"Tolerance is the virtue of a man without convictions."I don’t have a low opinion of you, Rinnie. I did not say the Word changed. The Word is God. Jn 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. I am glad you go to a RCC. I am still a Catholic and thus far have chosen to worship in a RCC as well. God is everywhere. And I can pray anywhere. I trust He will remain with us if extremists take over. I pray for God’s blessings upon you and upon us all and that may our hearts and minds be more open, more tolerant with less judging and more love. I pray for peace upon all nations. I ask this in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus. Amen.
Thanks buddy, I know, but its me also. He sent me a pm letting me know that its me also. But thats okay.
Wrong. I am convicted of Christ our Lord and Savior, Elvis. God bless.***“Tolerance is the virtue of a man without ***convictions.”

I think it’s time to become…. INVISIBLE!!!Hi guys, got a question for you. What would you guys do? Catholic, Protestant, etc if we were taken over by muslims. Would you still try to get to Church? Would you hide your bible? You know what I mean? What do you think America would be like? What do you think we would be like?
Would you risk being killed to enter Church? Just wondering your thoughts on this, and do you think it could ever be possible here?
I mean just think as crazy as it seems, We let them take prayer out of school. We can’t really say the word God anymore. And we are a free country?
[/SIGN] Just curious. so you would consider taking prayer out of school as true freedom? Because IMO that is not freedom at all. Only for those who have hate for God, and want him out of school completely. And what was our Dear God replaced with? Guns, drugs, etc. So while you view it one way, I view it another. It’s not a doctor’s job to push his or her religion on patients. How would you feel if a Hindu doctor told you to light candles to Shiva to cure your cold?

A lot of people here seem to think that “freedom” is the ability to push your particular set of beliefs on everyone – in fact, true freedom relies on not allowing any one group to push its beliefs on everyone. [SIGN]True freedom is what will keep a country from being taken over by ideological, religious goons that want to create a crazy theocracy.
Sure they do, they support Non-Religion, thats why it has been taken out of SchoolsIt’s not a doctor’s job to push his or her religion on patients. How would you feel if a Hindu doctor told you to light candles to Shiva to cure your cold?

very well putSo while you view it one way, I view it another.
I would not change my life one bit. I’d go to church like I always do. Why hide who you are? I think if it ever came down to it, I would try to be a part of a Red Dawn style counter. WOLVERINES!!!Hi guys, got a question for you. What would you guys do? Catholic, Protestant, etc if we were taken over by muslims. Would you still try to get to Church? Would you hide your bible? During the second world war , then Fr. Karol Wotyla, late Pope John Paul II, went underground to save the jews in Poland and Germany, from the Nazis. He said mass every day to God for those who would listen. Hiding from danger is preserving the temple of the Holy Spirit. [The body that God has given each one of us out of His love for us.], taking to praying with the Bible ''in secret, as it were, is not kept secret from the eys of God. God sees everything and will most likely understand the fear those of His followers will have even if they hide from being killed physically at a time during war. God will most likely forgive those who do not want to show their faces out of fear even though no one will physically survive the Revelation, those who still believe in God will most likely be with Him in the end when we are in the seat of judgement. I can’t see anyone who will not want to protect someone they love from the snares of the Devil however, and therefore we will all be in the same battle, fighting for the good of mankind and God’s people, or for the Devil’s side in the downfall of mankind.Hi guys, got a question for you. Wrong - because if you were, you would cease to pervert the teachings of his Body.Wrong. I am convicted of Christ our Lord and Savior, Elvis. God bless.
**Elvis, the last I knew you were debating in your mind on another thread before it closed what our Church defines as the body of Christ and you and some other hard cores were disagreeing. You first said no all Christians were not included. Then you said yes because they were related but being related to the family does not mean a brother or sister is part of the family or something like that. Whatever that means. I have to say you lost me on your definition of the body of Christ at that point. So I’m not going to be too worried about what you think I’m perverting since I’m not even certain you know what the body of Christ is. But peace to you in your belief my brother in Christ and again bless you on your walk. **Wrong - because if you were, you would cease to pervert the teachings of his Body.
I can help you here Matt. The body and blood of Christ is the living Christ and is what we call the Eucharist!**Elvis, the last I knew you were debating in your mind on another thread before it closed what our Church defines as the body of Christ and you and some other hard cores were disagreeing. Yes Rinnie thank you. I know about that. We were discussing what makes up the family body of Christ. You know your husband and if you have any children or siblings, they are part of the body of your family. Not that you are Christ I know but you see what I mean.I can help you here Matt. Ummm . . . I never changed my position on that other thread about where Protestants fit into the Body of Christ. I said that they were outside the Body of Christ but were related to the Body - just like a divorce party.Elvis, the last I knew you were debating in your mind on another thread before it closed what our Church defines as the body of Christ and you and some other hard cores were disagreeing. Quite Correct My Lad,Ok Elvis. Divorced I think is where you ended up. But you did suggest a disowned brother or sister being not part of the family.

Regardless ask a young child whose divorced parents both love their child if both parents are not part of his or her family.
But we shouldn’t derail Rinnie’s thread any longer. You had to say something about my posting and I responded. And then of course you felt the need to say I was wrong, that I was not convicted of Christ as our Lord and Savior and so on. But I don’t want Rinnie’s thread closed. It was about Muslim terrorist extremists attacking. Not you and me. So I won’t be carrying on this discussion with you here. God bless and peace though.
