In truth I haven’t read the Koran but have been around Muslims those who have read the Arabic Koran (plus going to the Mosque regularly) and have had friendly discussions with them. As it stands, there is really nothing new that Christianity has not taught with the exeption of some misinterpretations of what Christians believe in the Koran .

If you really had examined the information about Christianity, you would have realized that the belief that Jesus is truly God already existed even before the full Bible was finally clarified or put together. Church councils for instance from several hundred years before Mohammed.

Yes, there are contradictions but overall as my Christian charity will avail me, to say that as above there are actually misinterpretations of what Christians believe.

I think I see what you are saying here. But Jesus is not just a Prophet (although in those of his time, some people believed he was a Prophet) but also rather someone they felt was the One God spoke of, and spoken of by those Prophets who came before him, who would eventually redeem people and obtain salvation for them if they accepted Him.

There is no reason for me, to believe in the Koran except for where it is conveys same message as in the Bible. You need to study the early Church councils (before the Bible was put together) and how it was always believed that Jesus is Lord, especially after his Resurrection. It is not only the Bible we read but also followed up Tradition (earliest writings was about 40 years after Jesus’ Resurrection) and Church Magesterium.

And I DO know that Jesus is alive and in Heaven at the right hand of the **Father **so I CHOOSE to accept Him as my God and Savior and I KNOW He guides us through the Holy Spirit

I think I see what you are saying here. With the second coming of Jesus, wouldn’t that making Jesus the “last” prophet?
I think the word “Ommah” he/she meant the muslims.

And also about the protest, I think for them it’s okay to talk rubbish about other religion they say that is not right and being angry when their “right” religion supremacy are being challenge. They are “not” consider us as equal as them. That’s where the problem lies. Try search something about Islam-Christian clash in my country, the Islam get their preferential treatment.

I am not painting all Muslims. You will, I think, find that the protests to which I was referring have not been confined to the Middle East.

The questions were posed because I’m trying to understand why Islam reacts this way. I’m not sure Christianity responds in this manner to attacks.

This is true. They weren’t just in the Middle East. There were protests in Australia too, which is very much a western country.

Keep in mind however, the numbers involved. The protests in Australia got violent - but there were only 200 people present, out of 500 000 muslims. The coverage the protests got was well out of proportion to the numbers it actually represents.

I do know that Muslims need also to learn the Hadiths. The Koran needs that to fill in certain “blanks” - such as how many times a day to pray etc.

I think the more Muslims spend time in prayer the better time will be spent than focusing on Science and the
“Miracles”.

Boasting (even if misplaced ) doesn’t lead one to God. And as the Spirit guided St. Paul to say “If one must boast, boast in the Lord” Amen.

What you see from the Middle East are not true Muslims. These are radicals. The Koran does not teach this kind of conduct any more than the Bible taught the inquisition (Catholics) or the KKK (Protestants).

I know many Muslims. They are horrified by the conduct of those radicals.

Deedat is hardly an expert on the Trinity ie his failure to explain the Holy Spirit (The Paraclete) attributing God (of who the Holy Spirit is) to Mohammad because he fails to read the Bible in it’s context. Just picking verses to suit his view. :tsktsk:

Actually you may need to visit a Catholic Mass. Perhaps sit behind somewhere and see how we Worship. Once you do that, tell me what you learned and what questions you have from then.
