Good plan. At your daughter’s young age, things are still pretty basic and it would be hard to confuse her too much
I agree with that. Although, when I have taken my daughter (2) to a protestant service, she is confused that there are no other children and keeps asking me where Jesus is (lack of Tabernacle)

Oh, for the faith of a child!

What about the Apostles’ Creed? That is a confession/profession of faith that is very Catholic.

I [We] believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
I [We] believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son,
our Lord.
He was conceived by the power
of the Holy Spirit
and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again.
He ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of the
Father.
He will come again to judge the living and
the dead.
I [We] believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy Catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.

Cari,

For the focus you are most concerned about, you might get some help from those good old heretics, the Lutherans.

Though I’m a United Methodist pastor, I worked for the Lutherans (ELCA) for 4 years. And among the things I learned are that they have the very same issues you are concerned about with respect to how some other Protestants approach “being saved”. They’ve come up with some pretty good answers too, like:

If someone asks, “Have you found Jesus?” Answer, “No, Jesus found me.”

If asked, “Do you know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior?” Answer, “I don’t even know what all those terms mean. But I know that Jesus lives in my heart.”

Maybe that will help you.
I like those two underlined answers especially:thumbsup:

God Bless,
Maria
