Question for Protestants: The end of Public Revelation

As the title states, this question is for non-Catholic Christians. It is my understanding that Protestants, like Catholics, believe that public revelation has ceased. (If my premise is faulty please correct me!)

From the Catechism:

66 "The Christian economy, therefore, since it is the new and definitive Covenant, will never pass away; and no new public revelation is to be expected before the glorious manifestation of our Lord Jesus Christ."28 Yet even if Revelation is already complete, it has not been made completely explicit; it remains for Christian faith gradually to grasp its full significance over the course of the centuries…

73 God has revealed himself fully by sending his own Son, in whom he has established his covenant for ever. The Son is his Father’s definitive Word; so there will be no further Revelation after him.

Anyways, I was wondering how a non-Catholic Christian would answer the Mormon claim of continued public revelation? I tried to think back if I had ever come across any Bible verse which states that revelation would end, but I couldn’t think of any.

So I guess my question could be answered with just a Bible verse.

And no baiting. This is an honest question.

I would refer to Jude.

Wonderful! I guess the only problem I would have with this is if Jude was not the last book of the Bible to be written (Which I believe it was not). I hope you understand my thought process here and what I am saying.

I like SyCarl’s answer too.

Granted, Jude wasn’t the last book to be written, but I think it indicates that the Church had the whole ‘Deposit of Faith’ at that point.
