My only guess is lazinessI didn’t know any hindus or muslims, never saw JH’s. I am friends with a few atheists and they are quite content where they are spritually after many debates.
I do live in the South, and a lot of times many Christians like to stay in their own comfort zone, so Catholics I guess are an easy target.

I have noticed that Catholics are easy targets for a variety of reasons. One can go to any evangelical church here in Southern California and find at least a minority of the congregants are former Catholics. One of the big complaints that former Catholics have is this “never having a personal relationship with Christ.” I don’t get it but that’s what they say.
I do agree with many of their complaints. Mass is boring; yes, it can be, especially when the priest is clueless on how to deliver a homily. Another is the one of having a bad experience with the clergy. The evidence is clear on this with the massive deplorable sex scandal in the American Catholic Church. Also, I have noticed another shortcoming over the years: clergy who abuse alcohol and nothing is done about it.
That said I am sticking with Rome. It’s the only church I know and the only one I want to know.
