I’m mostly asking because we’ve been talking again about raising children, now that our wedding is approaching. We’re still in agreement as to what we’ve said before, but recently I’ve felt more and more like I would want to stay home with my children, and ensure they have a proper upbringing. Not that I think that the childcare workers around me are incompetent, but I firmly believe that catholic culture and tradition starts in the home, and my children will have a firmer foundation if I take a direct hand in raising them.
My FH has said time and again that he supports me in whatever I decide in regards to staying home or working … but I know that he has dreams for me, of working and having a fantastic career. He talks all the time about my future in the fashion industry, and how great I’ll be, which I love, but when i bring up being a SAHM, he’s like “Oh if you want to I support you.” then says nothing about it.
I’m just curious really if being a SAHM is a vocation, or if I’m just being needy by wanting to stay home with any kids I might have.
