If you were to use the bible to prove the Primacy of Peter to an adventist how would you go about it? Actually anyone with the answer may reply.

Hi, Kathleen -
Matthew 16:13-19 is a good place to start!
It’s pretty explicit.
John 21:15-18 is another great passage.

Good luck and God Bless!

Thanks to both of you for your replies. I’m hoping to keep this topic on the first page in hopes that one of the former SDAs will reply.

The above verses and tracts are great.

One thing I would DEFINITELY mention is that the primacy of Peter has been expressed in different ways throughout Church history.

Peter was the lead apostle, but didn’t need to be an arbitrer at the Jerusalem Council (Acts 15): all the apostles came to one agreement and accord, with Peter guiding that decision (but not giving the final pronouncement, as such).

Thanks Adventistnomore. You have been very helpful.
