From my perspective, of course, such choices are a simple recognition of reality. Even the pragmatist knows that principles are everything, and he longs for them as much as any other man. There is–as Kant implied–something that directs practical reason.
Yes, well put.

Hey Touchstone, just letting you know I read your posts. Wanted to tell you so you didn’t think I ignored them. 🙂

You’ll probably roll your eyes at this, but you’re going to be one of the “normal” ones i pray for regularly. 😃

“P.S. For a good read, Touchstone, check out “THE JESUS LEGEND: A CASE FOR THE HISTORICAL RELIABILITY OF THE SYNOPTIC JESUS TRADITION” by Paul Rhodes Eddy and Gregory A. Boyd”

Oh wow, VERY good book indeed. Empowered my faith immensely. In great detail does the book deal with each and every accusation about Jesus Christ, the stuff brought up in this thread, and PLENTY more! Worth the read.

I’d also recomend “There Is A God” by Antony Flew, just for the last chapter where mr. Flew talks about the “new atheists” out there and the resurrection of Jesus. Godd, good stuff.
